Through the door mural

This mural acknowledges and celebrates the many people who use this space — staff, service partners, patients and visitors — recognising the important role the facility plays in supporting the community.

The silhouettes featured in the mural are based on real people who use this facility, including paramedics, a renal patient, a young family taking their newborn baby home, a doctor and nurse from the Emergency Department, and an oncology patient. Each figure represents the diverse journeys, care and connections that pass through this space every day.

The vibrant colours in the background are inspired by the view looking back across Gladstone Harbour, reflecting the light, movement and colour of the local landscape and bringing a sense of place into the artwork.
