International Year of the Nurse & Midwife – Online Exhibition

International Year of the Nurse & Midwife Online Exhibition

Katrina Elliott

Date: May 2020
Location: Online

Project Type:
Exhibition

In 2020, the World Health Organization designated the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife to recognise the vital role nurses and midwives play in caring for communities around the world. The year also marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Nurses and midwives form the backbone of health systems globally and are often the first point of care for patients and families, providing compassion, skill and support across every stage of life.

As part of this recognition, we are inviting nurses and midwives from across the globe to share their stories as part of our community online exhibition.

Nurses & Midwives from all over the world, we would love to hear your story.
No matter how short or long your journey in nursing or midwifery has been, your experiences matter.

We welcome stories from all types of nurses — including dental nurses, veterinary nurses, school nurses and many more — from anywhere in the world.

Please help us add to our online exhibition and celebrate the incredible diversity of the nursing and midwifery community.
This exhibition will run until the end of 2020.
